Imperial Japanese soldiers did a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, killing 2,350 people. The next day, the United States declared war against Japan and entered World War II.
However, many may not know that before 1778, ancient Hawaiians raised their fishes at Pearl Harbor’s coast. Also, Pearl Harbor got its name because of the oysters with small pearls living there.
